2002 Show Season

We had a great show season going to a half a dozen shows.
Ossippe Valley: Rec. Grade (Sr.) - Angel was 1st. place Aged
Doe. Saanen (Sr.) - Journey was Grand Champion and Destiny was Reserve Grand Champion and Pearl was Best of Breed.
Barnstable: Saanen (Sr.) - Lily was Grand Champion as a 6
year old 5th. freshener ( this was Lily's 2nd. leg) and Minnie Pearl was Res. G. C. Saanen (Jr.) Both Legacy and Linen were 1st. in their classes. Grade (Jr.) - Honey Bun was Grand Champion and received her dry leg.
Rochester: Saanen (Sr.) - Journey was Grand Champion and
Best of Breed and Lily was Res. Grand Champion. Saanen (Jr.) - Angel's Dawn was Grand Champion (received dry leg) and Angel's Rose was Res. G. C. Legacy was 1st. in her class.
Cumberland: Saanens (Sr.) - Journey was Grand Champion,
Best of Breed and Best Udder. Lily was Res. G.C. Blossom was 2nd. in the 3 to 5 year olds. Rec. Grade (Sr.) -Bambi was Rec. G.C. as an aged doe and Angel was 2nd, in the aged class behind Bambi.
The Big E (Eastern States Expo.) This was the most
competition we had with 10 Saanen exhibitors showing: Saanen (Sr.) - Joy was 2nd. place 3 to 5 year olds, 1st. place Udder, Res. Grand Champion and Best Udder of Breed. Journey was 2nd. place 2 year old and 1st. place Udder. Lily was 1st. aged doe and 1st. place Udder. Saanen (Jr.) - Linen was 2nd. place and Legacy was 4th. Rec. Grade - Honey Bun was 2nd. place.
Topsfield (Junior Show only): LaMancha - Jade was Grand
Champion and Opal was 2nd. place. Rec. Grade - Honey Bun was 1st. Saanen - Legacy was 2nd., Rose was 3rd., Dawn was 4th., and Linen was 5th.
Patti was at Convention during this show and I had Emily (our
10 year old neighbor) helping me. |
